|Galić, Irena is an Assistant Professor employed at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technology Osijek. She has been an associate at the Department of Communication Systems at the Croatian Academy of Engineering since May 2017. She graduated from the Faculty of Education Osijek in 1999 completing the program of Mathematics and Computer Science. Furthermore, she obtained her Master of Science degree in 2004 from the University of Saarland in Saarbrücken. She was a research fellow at the International Max Planck Research School for Computer Science within the Master’s and Postgraduate Doctoral study program. Since October 2007, she has been working at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering Osijek. Irena Galić obtained her Doctoral degree from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering Osijek. She defended her doctoral dissertation entitled “Still Image Compression Using Partial Differential Equations” under the mentorship of Full Professor Branka Zovko-Cihlar, Ph.D. on June 24th 2011 thus receiving the title Doctor of Technical Sciences from the field of Electrical Engineering, branch of Telecommunications and Informatics. In 2012, she was promoted to an Assistant Professor from the scientific field of Technical Sciences, branch of Computer Science at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering Osijek.
