Major subject of water resources planning      and management with a specialty in urban water system. Thesis topic:      “The Convective diffusion of the effluent without interaction with      the primary flow”.
  • Ph.D. Graduate of University of Zagreb,      Zagreb, Croatia, 1983. Major subject      of water resources systems analysis with specialty in water quality and      modeling techniques. Dissertation topic: “Determination of the      optimal protection from pollution by applying linear programming and      simulation”.

Professional:

Teaching, research, consulting and designing in the field of water resources, urban water systems and environmental engineering. Primary interest and work in water resources system engineering, urban water system management, water resources management, water conservation and environmental impact assessment. Registries as professional engineer of Croatian Association.

 

Experience: 

Currently employed by Faculty of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Geodesy Split as Professor in the Department of Water Resources and Environmental Engineering. Currently head of the Department.  Teach graduate courses and conduct research, planning and designing project in water resources system engineering, urban water systems planning and management and water resources planning and management. Served as Principal and co-Principal Investigator for numerous research projects in the field of Urban Water System Management, Water Resources System Engineering, Planning and Management.

Served as Principal and Co-Principal Designer for numerous engineering projects in water resources studies, urban water and waste water systems including treatment and disposal, and water resources planning and management.

Employed by Consulting Company Civil Eng. Institute Split, Croatia, from September 1979 until September 1990. Served as designer, coordinator, project manager of numerous projects in the field of water resources and in urban water systems.

Part-time employed by UNEP-Mediterranean Action Plan, Center for Priority Programme since 1985 to 2000 as coordinator of Priority field Water Resources.
